Regardless of the state of the Economy overall, regardless of the "emergency" that the automakers and their employees find themselves in, and regardless of whether the Bill that just failed is considered a gift, a loan, or a purchase of equity, the irrefutable fact is that it is wholly UnConstitutional. If you doubt me, find the authority and cite the passage of the Constitution that allows it.

However, the question of compensation for Federal Judges is very clearly the responsibility of Congress under the Constitution.

If the bailout failed because of Judges' salaries, that means that their attempt to do something Unconstitutional had failed due to also attempting to do something Constitutional. Can you not see the irony?

So, here you are, whining that you aren't getting your bailout, because the very people you depend upon to push the Liberal agenda in the courts aren't going to get a raise.

The fact is, we are where we are, with the War in Iraq, and the economy, the mortgage crisis, domestic oil companies not being allowed to drill offshore close to the US in the exact same places where the Chinese already ARE drilling, and bailouts for companies that can't afford to pay workers $70 per hour, because you don't get it.

Reid is doing what Pelosi did to kill the legislation on drilling along the coast.

If you make the added amendments too easy to spot, then the bill dies.

Hide it well, and make the case that this legislation is essential, well, you might get away with something slick.

It is good that this was caught, but it should never happen.

The two party government is a myth that keeps this nation divided. (Divide and conquer). It's about the overall government having different means and ways to bring about,( :by manipulation:a common goal of a small group of people,) the North American Union and New World Order. The Prez allowed himself to go along with this agenda.

If what you say is true, then it just proves what I've said for a long time. The biggest problem Democrats have is the lack of adult leadership. They get too easily side tracked onto minor issues that constantly causes more problems than what they are supposed to be fixing.

That's not accurate. Yes, they initially tried to sneak that in but the Democrats eventually agreed to drop that provision, so that has nothing to do with the bill's defeat. Nice try, though.
