Can this Rhetoric Truly be Patriotism?
Limbaugh: "I Hope Obama Fails." Yes he actually said that.
Does Rush and Conservatives like him not understand that if Obama fails we ALL fail as a nation and as individuals. How is hoping for your President, your Country and Your fellow citizens to fail considered patriotism? And just to further your own personal ideology. I believe this is decidedly the most unpatriotic thing a person can say "I hope my country fails!" WTF??
Potential RNC chair Ken Blackwell suggested that it is not in the Republican Party’s interest for Obama to create jobs, as that might give Democrats an “electoral advantage”.
I mean really. Whose side are these guys on?? It’s certainly not the American public, The Constitution or the Democratic Process.
Rush even criticized the Republicans like McCain and Lindsey Graham, for having a bipartisan dinner and actually wanting to work together for the better good of the country! He said “I can’t understand liberals honoring their losers".
Please some conservative explain to me how that represents love for your country and its people.
I do not discount the First amendment an don't lecture me on it. I am 3rd Generation Military and 3rd Generation Veteran. I took an oath to support and defend the constitution from all enemies foreign and domestic. And what Rush said is the worse thing any American can say. And he has the Nerve to stand on the front of that Web page and hold and American Flag.
And for you who said "it worked for democrats for 8 years" Bull****. The entire country was behind Bush after 9-11. We put our faith in him and gave him more power than any President in recent history and he abused that power - and we called him on it. He did it to himself. No one "wishes" for their President and their country to fail. I wished Bush had succeeded but his actions would not allow it.

To anyone who wants to say that Liberals said the same about Bush... there's a difference between saying you hope someone fails and that someone failed.

Rush Limbaugh is a wacko... just like Al Frankin.
Most of the country is moderate and wants Obama to do well, but he needs to prove he can be a leader, which he is yet to do. On his first day he closed Gitmo and released $400B in federal dollars to the states. So far, I think we are in trouble.

I am not a conservative republican. But people like Limbaugh, Hannity, Rove, love the controversy their statements cause. They must realize that after the past 2 election cycles, people are tired of the hate.

I totally agree! Sometimes I think the political parties are more interested in what letter you have behind your name than the policies or remedies they contribute.I think they (dems and repubs) act like gang members, that care more about which gang you belong to, than what's in your head.We are all Americans first.We all need to remember that.
Edit: to all the people saying the dems did it to Bush so they deserve it, GROW UP, this is our nation we are talking about not some grade school name calling crap.

they aren't patriotic...in fact most people aren't.
most of the folks involved in politics; whether it be the media, the representatives, the leaders, the majority are in it for one or two things...to further themselves, and/or money.
but duvvbrand is on to something with the fed...

I didn't vote for O, but I agree with you. In any election there are going to be sore losers.
Rush is just a talking head, you have to take everything he says with a grain of salt and Lindsey Graham is a fence rider, he will kiss up to whoever is in power.

There are so many arenas in BO's personal history that have made it patently evident that he wants to *change* American and *change * our Constitution. This country has survived and flourished because of the principles in this brilliant piece of written word. Any attempt to change what made this country what it is, I see as traitorous. I must agree with Mr. limbaugh!
