  • Prune juice left in cup?

During a birthday party, my 4 year old grandson hid some prune juice (in a glass) in the laundry room closet. He stacked the same size plastic cup inside the glass that had about 3" of prune juice in it.

When I found it a few weeks ago, the plastic cup had somehow sealed tight to the glass and the prune juice was the consistency of very thick tar. No mold, it just sealed tight and I m interested in what it turned into?

  • What is the THL and GTR after the 10K mark on a gold jewelry?

I have a heart shaped pendant that's marked 10K. Next to it in caps are the letters GTR (upper case) and another 10K piece has THL. I know the 925 SU (Silver Unlimited?) is a big manufacturer of silver products in Italy. And is it true if it's marked Italy" the piece is more valuable?

    Thanks for your help

  • Is anyone familiar with Jack Simmerling? The Chicago artist.?

I believe he's famous for pencil (pen) sketches of Chicago landmarks, houses, etc. I have an original sketching approx 10 X 15 (B&W) of the the old White Sox park, signed by the artist dated '90.

Can someone steer me the right way for getting additional information, especially about this particular drawing?

    Thanks so much!

  • Can my daughter sue for damages?

My daughter breeds and raises AKC Golden Retrievers. A lady put a $100 non-refundable deposit to hold a pup for a week. Signed the contract and left. My daughter held the pup, lady came back in a week and paid the balance in cash, never spending any time with the pup, but claimed she knew the breed well and had a 6 month old at home. 24 hours later, she emailed my daughter, put stop payment on the check, asked for a full refund because she claimed the pup was "aggressive" and my daughter knew that he was but sold him to her anyway. Threatened to sue her for the balance.

My daughters bank is giving her to the 29th to clear up the check and $35 fee they charged. Meanwhile, lady claimed she had to pay $100 for H.E.L.P. (rescue shelter) to take the pup for her. My daughter contacted HELP, concerned about the welfare and condition of the pup. The supervisor spoke with her and had taken him home that first night and kept him for a few days. Told my daughter she could tell he came from good breeding, pup showed absolutely NO signs of aggression, not towards food, people, kids, or other dogs. Also said he was well socialized. Never even have an accident in the house. Pup is 11 weeks old. She ran him through all the tests. He was immediately adopted by another lady from the shelter who is also very pleased with the pup and his temperament.

How can my daughter recoup her deposit and fee, and with her being reported to the AKC, agricultural dept, HELP, does she have grounds to claim damages? She's just happy the pup has a good home but worries about being sued and her bank refusing to cash checks if this isn't cleared up. The supervisor already told her if her (20 year) expert opinion is needed legally, she'd be more than willing to help. This was the first time any buyer wanted to return/demand refund for a pup. How would you handle this? Thanks!

  • Can you help me with this brain teaser?

You saw a shirt for $97. You didn't have the cash so you borrowed $50 from your dad and $50 from your mom. $50+$50=$100. You bought the shirt and had $3 change. You gave your dad $1 and your mom $1 and kept $1 for yourself. Now you owe $49 to your mom and $49 to your dad.

    $49 + $49=$98. Plus your $1= $99. Where's the other $1?

  • What possible problems would I face if I don't go to physical therapy?

I had an accident and shattered the L-1 vertebrae and cracked the L-2 vertebrae in my back. Large bone fragments entered the spinal canal putting pressure on the cord.

I had reconstructive surgery, rods, plates, screws, and a bone graft from my hip. My health insurance had increased to $1,100.00 per month and I had to drop it for lack of funds. 2 weeks later I had this accident. To date, my bills are in excess of $150,000.00.

I have "at home" exercises to do, but wouldn't it be best to have a professional oversee my therapy? I just can't afford it. What are the possible problems? The fracture is stable and I am able to walk.

Any physical therapists out there with some advice? I've worked at the same job for over 2 decades. And I can't find any government agency to help me. Suggestions please?

  • Do you believe someones political belief can be changed?

by the power of suggestion and/or the power of sex? This is a serious question. Can sexual interaction change a persons political view or simply keep them quiet on what they truly believe?

  • When health insurance companies deny claims?

It is standard practice to stall certain claims in order to bide time. Hoping that people will either die or get tired of fighting the appeals.

Isn't this the true meaning of "Death Panels?"

  • We can fund health care reform without adding to the deficit?

If Governor Perry and his supporters want Texas to secede from the United States, the federal funds we would save would be enough to supplement health care for all! The only cost to us would be moving border patrol to the north.

    The billions of dollars we spend in Texas;

    1) Medicare, Medicaid

    2) Social Security

    3) Disability

    4) Infrastructure (maintenance, repairs, new

    construction, etc)

    5) Security and maintenance at all National

    parks, monuments, etc.

    6) All public schools, hospitals, libraries, etc.

Meanwhile, in addition to the billions saved, we could set up a tollway system to allow Texans in to the U.S. for a fee. Or we could simply sell it back to Mexico.

My question is: Do the Texans who believe in seceding, think they can keep the perks of a Federal government or can they be self sufficient?

  • Although Michael Jackson is dead....?

besides his dance moves and lyrics, what did he really do for the American advancement of black music entertainers?

It seems to me that his main goal in life was to be white.

Please tell me why I am wrong with my "analysis" of his life?

I agree he was not only cutting edge, but awesome with his talent.
