Why is it deemed wrong to say that having women in certain career fields in the military only causes problems?

It is a fact once women were put aboard ships, it caused problems. When women are in a command, there are more problems. I'm not saying it is because the women CAUSE the problems, often men can't handle a women there and too many horny guys cause the problems. However, in an organization like special operations where everyone is professional and there to do a job, women are not around and it works smoothly. There are women in supporting roles and that works fine as well. What do you think? For all the "FemiNazis" who want to tell me I'm a sexist, please open your mind and answer the question.

Update:

For those who didn't read the question completely, I said it is because of horny men that is the problem. But, horny men take care of that issue after work and when they are back from deployment if there are no women in the command. See the point?

Update 2:

If you saw the movie "GI Jane" and know much about the production, you would know that the Navy and especially the Teams would not cooperate becuase they knew how detrimental it would be to introduce women into that environment. It would destroy the tight comradarie and professionalism for the sake of "equal rights". It would have been a fiasco!

Update 3:

cordeliainsaniac... Why do you and others always compare apples to oranges? Having black men or latino or whatever in special operations has had no effect on the morale and execution of the mission. Having women in the units does.

Update 4:

don_barksdale... If you were replying to my question, you failed to follow instructions. I didn't say "women in the military", I said "in certain career fields".

You are correct. In certain areas the sexual tension and temptation would cause more harm than good. I am all for equal oppotunity, but in some cases it just doesn't make sense.

The problem is NOT with women in the military, it is with women in combat arms professions. Before, everyone starts screaming, I am FULLY aware and realize that with the current status quo, no one really knows friend from foe and where the next hit is going to take place. For me, it is more from a hygiene and medical standpoint. I, personally, have spent 45 days in the field with nothing more than a "HOOAH" bath.

Example One: Anatomically speaking, as we all know, there are a lot more "nooks and crannies" women must keep clean or else they will get a wicked infection.

Example Two: IF taken prisoner, the mindset of the enemy is to break you down and get information, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY. Rape would be the number 1 step to break down a female soldier and it wouldn't be just 1 person doing the deed......Not meaning to classify here, however, not that many men are going to rape another man to try and get information out of him.

Can women function is a combat environment, YES, they prove it every single day. Can women function in the same capacity physically as men can, NO, women are not built the same way as men. Do this mean that should or shouldn't be allowed to serve in combat units, NOT FOR ME TO DECIDE...but, as per the examples above, there are a ton of logistics questions that would have to have some very set in stone answers.

I dont think its sexist bt i think u may like to open your mind and think of that in the reverse...as in if u admit that its guys hormones then its not really the chicks problem ...but if a femmanine influance is cloudig the males judgment thats not a gd sign... but as u say they are supposed to be proffessionals so rgardless of a penis or a vagina they should just get on with it if they cant they are in the wrong profession....we are all just people in the end

Woman are in no way suited to the job

Just look at Lyndie England and other occurences with other woman

I think it alters the definition of war when you put woman in there, im not opposed to woman who are seriously interested but i believe woman should stick to manufacturing guns and weapons and engineering war items.

There were issues when black people were integretated into the military but you don't blame black people. Do you?

Eventually, people settled down and either got with the program or got out. Problem solved.

Iam a woman, i believe in our equal status to men, however, I do not agree with women in the military. Iam sorry, I just dont. Iam not a man, I dont want to be a man, I dont want to be treated like a man. War, war games, and the study of war is a mans field. Women are not warlike in nature, and men are hardwired to fight to protect the weaker sex... or atleast wired to bone 'em. It just doesnt mix well.

Logistics, desks jobs, weapons design, things like that are different, but out in the field is no place for a woman. Especially not on some huge ship full of lonely men, or on the battle field holding people back.

Its heart breaking when a man suffers ill at war, its haunting when the same happens to a woman.

I just thought i'd add, that while iam not looking to go to war, if war ever came to me, on my soil, You can bet I'd be willing ot take arms and protect what is mine. To me, thats a different situation.
