When was the last time you got something from a "Roach Coach?"?

Some of you may not know what a Roach Coach is, but has nothing to do with insects in a literal sense.

The last time that I bought my breakfast from a Roach Coach ie, Breakfast Tacos, was the last time that I remember really enjoying breakfast. That was only a few days ago. If you live in an area where there is no Roach Coach you are living in a land where no man should be exiled to. That would be cruel and unusual punishment. I once watched a young man pull up and open the wings on his pickup camper and sell Tacos for thirty to forty-five minutes and take in money hand over fist as fast as he could serve his customers. I put a pencil to it and figured that he was probably neting more than ninety-five per cent of his customers were earning on their jobs in a large office building. It is amazing what these guys take in and it is all cash money.

I would always get a burger in the early hours of Saturday morning from the roach coach 'Marios' outside the Student Union when I was at Uni. The burgers always tasted good at the time but I doubt I would try them when sober.

Some of my husband's employees kept raving about a breakfast burritos they were getting from a "roach coach". He tried it, was amazed and awestruck, and had me go down and get one.

    It was incredible.

Everybody helped this LEGAL, Latino/American open a restaurant not far from where they used to park their "coach". They, with all of us, are hurting now because of the economy. Hopefully they'll be able to keep the restaurant open rather than go back to the "Coach".

Don't be afraid because of the name or the nationality of the owners..They get checked by the health dept too!

Some of the best food ever served, was off a "roacher". (Ptomaine Tommie's)

It's been a long time, but I remember EXACTLY what it was.

A BREAKFAST BURRITO, with lot's of hot sauce.

    FANTASTIC !

It was as if it was this morning, the savory smell of spiced sausage, mixed with scrambled eggs, bacon, and salty potato's, all wrapped in a HUGE flour tortilla, with so much hot sauce on it that it's oozing out and running down my wrist.

    YUMM,YUMMMM!

    $5 includes a large coffee.

    (buuurrp ! uhh, excuse me)

Life don't get any better than THAT !

The trucks around LA are some of the best, especially at HomeDepot.

Oh, it's been many years and the food was horrible! I still see them around from time to time and I hope the quality has improved. I see many small taco street vendors around and although they are cheap, the food isn't good and they have been cited many times by the health department.

On the pier, in Corpus Christi, Texas, in 1997. Great Tex-Mex!

It's been quite a while, but I remember they had some good eats.

Especially the ones we used to call the Taco trucks. Good Hamburgers also.

We have a great taco truck (I suppose that would be the La Cocarocha Coche') . I visit it at least twice a month!
