If you could take 6 months off from your normal life what would you pursue?

As stated, if you could take 6 months off from your busy life and could put yourself first (as in no major obligations or responsibilities), what would you do? I'm looking for a goal. As in, if you could devote your life for 6 months to achieving something, what would it be?

Personally, I'm a fairly intelligent college junior bound for med school. But, I've been remixing music for a year or two, and if I was given that time, I put in the the effort to become a full-fledged DJ.

What would you do?

Update:

To give you an idea of why I'm asking, at this moment, I am writing a Medical Ethics paper and listening to DJ Tiesto.

bigforkminnesota: i like it....very much so...

sparkle: your idea sounds pretty good...but as for me, booking my "services" in clubs around the world would require me to have immense talent...which is what i don't have (and will not have after 6 months)...but it's a very inspirational thought

Update 2:

yes...i'm 20 and i'm writing a paper on a friday night at 2 AM...shows you why i need some inspiration

I would walk the Camino de Santiago. The Camino is a medieval pilgrimage route to a shrine in northern Spain that people still walk today. I walked a part of the Camino (just a few weeks' worth) this summer, and am aching to go back and walk the whole thing. It's an amazing opportunity to reflect, meet new people, push yourself to the limit and do something amazing.

::sigh::...someday. :) And I hope you get to pursue your dream of DJing, too!

I would DEFINITELY travel all the way around the globe. I am saving up a few grand to do it someday. I am also looking for grant writing possibilities to be funded to do the trip. The goal is to get a sense of the entirety of the planet, while spreading my message about community celebration being integral to sustainability. I have found out it is relatively easy to go from country to country, stay with host families and do volunteer work in each place. Many programs are work trade, so you might not get paid, but you do get fed and housed. Traveling is something more people should do more of, so we all gain more perspective on humanity. People don't realize it can be done inexpensively - not as an overconsumptive tourist. I would prepare a book about the experience as well. How about booking your DJ services in clubs around the world? Sounds amazing. Good Luck!

I would send a postcard to a stranger and ask him to meet me in danger. I would be far away from the city with an empty bank account. Fish for salmon, be scared of a bear and at night I'd sleep in hammock. Then I'd reach in my pocket pull my plane ticket out and realize its time to go home.

I don't think I'd do anything differently than I do now....I love my chosen career.
