What do you think that the odds are that the US Government will take over the entire banking system?

Absolutely not.... It’s getting too socialistic and the public still wants free markets.. we’re still a capitalistic country, and as much as congress wants to be like the European Countries, the American people do not. I feel the government will impose tighter regulations, but won’t take control of the banks.

They already have. Look at the banking regulations. Who wrote them? Sure wasn't the banks. But, the banks have a major say in what is written. Who do you think wanted these high overdraft fees, over limit fees, low savings interest rates, high loan interest rates, fees for talking to a bank teller (some banks do), loan origination fees that are nothing more than a few minutes of paperwork, etc.

I would not be surprised, The US Government has been taking over our lives already. They have many secret hiding from us, FDA, SS, Internet, Phone, .... US is not so FREE as people want to imagine.
