Suppressors for hunting?
What is your opinion on legalizing suppressors for hunting? I'll state mine below.
Several countries allow suppressors for hunting purposes. I am a bit disappointed that the US has such strict regulation on a simple too, but that is a different spiel.
Allowing suppressors during hunting season would allow sportsment to further respect their neighbors by not scaring them with the loud report of a rifle, it would lessen the impact of the noise on wildlife, and it would be a lot better for the shooters ears. It seems like a good idea to allow legally owned suppressors for hunting. I do think there should still be strict guidelines regarding who can own a suppressor, but I don't understad disallowing them for sporting purposes.

I'm all for it. Preventing hearing loss and reducing noise pollution are always good things. A suppressed firearm is still over 100 decibels, so it is not like no one can hear them.

I can use one in my area for small game like rabbit and such. Mostly you just can shoot and not disturb the neighbors.

I live in the UK and have moderators for all my rifles. When you apply for a variation on your licence you ask for a moderator too.
The moderator is available to all with a licence and you do not need a tax stamp for it.
I'm all for the use of moderators its enabled me to take another shot at another deer.
