Protestants, some still hold on to Luther What about this then?

Christ taught: “If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments

Luther in speaking of the commandments teaches: "Their only purpose is to show man his impotence to do good and to teach him to despair of himself

“Thou shalt not covet,’ is a commandment which proves us all to be sinners; since it is not in man’s power not to covet, and the same is the drift of all the commandments, for they are all equally impossible to us.” -

"Moses is an executioner, a cruel lictor, a torturer a torturer who tears our flesh out with pincers and makes us suffer martyrdom . . . Whoever, in the name of Christ, terrifies and troubles consciences, is not the messenger of Christ, but of the devil . . . Let us therefore send Moses packing and for ever."

“We must remove the Decalogue out of sight and heart” (De Wette 4, 188).

“It does not matter what people do; it only matters what they believe.”

“If we allow them - the Commandments - any influence in our conscience, they become the cloak of all evil, heresies and blasphemies

Are you still believing this was a man sent by God to free you from the Catholic Church?

Update:

Why do I ask this Stuff?

Because Luther is the Founder of a Blasphemes new religion, born out of evil, yet he's held to be a great liberator from Catholicism, Protestant roots are from this evil man who denied the Divinity of Christ and called him a sinner and Moses a monster and God's law as Evil.

I see the same thing today when the Church Christ founded is attacked for it's speaking truth and Christ's representedive called the Anti Christ.

This is why to waken people up to truth.

A Christian duty I may add, even though some have forgotten this Duty because they are to busy believing lies like Sola Scripture and Faith alone these and more that came from this same man Luther.

In Matthew 5:19, Jesus taught, "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

The Ten Commandments are among the greatest of God's teachings. That are at the heart of God's plan for human happiness. Thus, Luther was not just teaching people to break the least commandment, but the basic rules for living as God's people.

This is a very serious heresy not only for Luther, but for many Protestants. It is at the heart of the Protestant revision of Jesus' teachings, effectively reversing Jesus' teaching to obey God's commandments into "It is impossible to obey God's commandments."

Luther and our Protestant friends go wrong by misinterpreting Paul's writings about the law. In teaching the Gospel to Jews scattered around the Roman empire, Paul stressed the liberation of Jewish Christians from the disciplinary rules of Judaism, in matters of diet, circumcision, and fastidious Sabbath observance. He was emphatically NOT talking about God's moral law, as summarized in the Ten Commandments.

Good Job of presenting some of Martin Luther's rants that he often made as many Historians can tell you he was what we today call a manic depressant. You may want to Check out and note Luther was a student of John Huss not that he sat in a Class room but read his writings and expounded on them.Luther would more than likely seem to us today much like some of the Kooks who walk around in white robes with a Bible but the difference is of course he was not Crazy but one who was full of anger and even tho his main goal was to stop the illegal practice of selling indulgences which quite opposite of what Protestants like to tell the Pope was not aware of it at the time and once he received word about it he ordered it stopped. Most today because of all the comforts and speed of information do not stop to think a wrong being done took months to reach the Pope and then there were the months of investigation and then the time to report back to the Pope and the time for his response to reach the ones involved.Well luther never had as his intention to leave the Church but the Princesses of Germany wanted back the Papal lands held by Churches and Monasteries and who better to use than Martin Luther. So with his mental problems and pressure from the Princesses the apostasy against the Church began. You might say the Cardinal and Bishops invoveled with the practice of selling indulgences were the Judases of that period. Many think martin Luther was a Saintly much abused Man but the facts are he was very anti jewish and a extreme believer of disipline and had a horrible temper. My analyses of him is not all that deep here but just touches on the character of Martin Luther who is the True founder but not Father of the Protestant beliefs as that Honor actually belongs to John Huss and all Protestant teachings spring from the words and writings of Luther. And like the Bible says as the twig is bent so does the tree grow and that is exactly where Protestantism is as there still protesting and dividing up.Being as Protestants have thousands of different teachings how can the blind lead the blind lest they both fall in the hole.

Whenever Protestants are enlightened as to the foul and blasphemous writings of Martin Luther they simply respond "we never said he was a saint."

And yet this is the man upon whom their entire "protest" rests. Like it or not, Luther is THE pillar of Protestantism and the source of "Sola Scriptura" or "the Bible alone."

In Protestant circles Luther is acclaimed as a man called by God to condemn the errors of Catholicism and restore so-called "biblical Christianity." Yet his theological writings betray an arrogance and gross error that cannot be dismissed.

Luther is the foundation upon which Wesley, Calvin, Zwingli and all of the others built their theologies.

Therefore, no Protestant can distance himself from the true Martin Luther.

    Peace be to you all+

Luther simply protested some catholics practices that he didn't like , that 's all. Martin Luther was a disgruntled catholic, a rebellious catholic

Luther is a product of the renaissance- we're a bit more enlightened these days. I'm not a protestant but it's obvious to me your attempts to vilify Luther are hopelesly misguided.
