Do you think Obama will be able to invent 2.5 million jobs in the next year?
And what type of jobs will they be? From what I understand from his speech they would be "temporary" type jobs.

The types of jobs he can create in his position are, just that, temporary. Only the market can create legit, long term employment opportunities.
But, just as many Democrat programs are, they are a quick fix. They gain approval points quickly, then are long forgotten. Much like Clinton's 100,000 cops program. After the 3 year grants ran out, most were layed off. Then many said, what cops program? It did just what he expected when he needed it. Then did not care what happened afterward as to him it would be irrelevant.
Obama's will be the same. in a few years he can state, "look at the history making number of jobs my administration created when I took office." and will say nothing of how many still exist. By then, in 3-4 years, it too will be irrelevant.
Change? In 3-4 years once the economy has improved and real jobs are created. He can take full credit. Credit for something the American people would be more responsible for creating than he.

Nothing is more permanent than a temporary government job except a temporary government tax hike! The government will always be able to invent new branches of bureaucrats and civil servants. Add the European socialist ideology and you can add Educrats, And Milicrats. Imagine the fun possibilities! Green liberal educators in new liberal arts "Obama" Alternate Education institutions. A plethora of EPA regulators and psychologists for a greener, less hurt-full, military! A watchdog organization to regulate technology and science to make sure it is eco-friendly! A new liberal and progressive direction is what we need for the safety of the planet!

"Gird your loins. Because it's not gonna be apparent initially, it's not gonna be apparent that we're right. We're gonna win with your help, God willing, we're gonna win, but this is not gonna be an easy ride. This president, the next president, is gonna be left. With the most significant task. It's like cleaning the Augean stables, man. This is more than just, this is more than – think about it, literally, think about it – this is more than just a capital crisis, this is more than just markets. This is a systemic problem we have with this economy." Biden
“We’ve got a planet to save. Nothing less is at stake other than civilization as we know it.” Pelosi
Mrs. Pelosi represents the most liberal city in America, and she wants the U.S. to cut its greenhouse emissions in half by 2050. She’s backing cap-and-trade legislation that would literally make gas, oil and coal too expensive to burn.
All he has to do is take away all the guns, Reduce minimum wage to food and board, Recruit his "Civilian Militia"And we will have "Progressed" all the way back to Mandarin China!

Inventing jobs is the easy part.
My question is who is going to pay the salaries of these 2.5 million people? the jobs seem to be 'public works' in nature......That generally means the "public tax payer" is the one doing the paying.
More free money handed out for "creative job inventing" on things that could go until the economy gets better.

Just like Franklin D. Roosevelt with the new deal. They are going to be wind farm construction, bridge repair, and "environmental jobs" whatever those are all about. Almost all blue collar, just watch which does not help the economy. It didn't work from 1933 to 1939 to bring us out of the depression and it won't work in today's economy.
Here's an article that states: "The PWA spent over $6 billion, but did not succeed in returning the level of industrial activity to pre-depression levels."

Fact: World War II in 1941 ended the great depression, not FDR's programs.
Obama is all about providing jobs for the lower income first, then according to him there will a trickle up affect. You know, poor peole providing jobs to everyone. What? That's right, from the bottom up is what he said. When is the last time you got a job from a poor person? We need to start from the top down just like Reagan did with tax cuts. Reagans economic plan created 20 million jobs. People need to read a little history before thinking Obama's plans are so great:
Here's what Reagan did: Reagan's 1981 Program for Economic Recovery had four major policy objectives: (1) reduce the growth of government spending, (2) reduce the marginal tax rates on income from both labor and capital, (3) reduce regulation, and (4) reduce inflation by controlling the growth of the money supply.

there are approximately sixteen 000 000 unemployed interior the rustic at latest. this is going to take approximately 3 hundred 000 new jobs a month each month for about 4.5 years just to come back to the place they have been in 2007. so 2.5 million is a drop interior the sea ....

His dream of building or repairing roads, bridges or things like that. or making windmills solar collectors etc, do not produce wealth. They spend taxpayer money on feel-good programs. Wealth is generated by manufacturing and exporting goods, not using them up in America. The infusion of money into the big cash flow loop has to come from other countries with a positive balance of trade. I wonder what he thinks he can do about that.

The only jobs he will create are the jobs within government. He wants bigger government, he will have bigger government and those spots will be filled. As far as creating jobs in the "real" world, his plan will cut jobs. Those people that voted him into office probably didn't want a job to begin with and why should they?

instead of the $1000.00 dollar tax stimulas check he promised everyone, he now said he would make you work on the roads to collect that thousand dollars.
so he will create those 2.5 million jobs for you to work until you made 1000 and then you are out of work again.
wow, what brilliant man! LOLOLOL
and this is a definite flip flop from his giving you a stimulas.
this man flips on everything!

I really don't see him inventing anything except higher taxes and bigger government. I suppose some jobs will come with that but not 2.5 million of them.

I think it was in the next two years, but No I dont think he will. But lets say he does. If 4 million people lose their jobs, in the next year or so, and he creates 2.5 new ones, arent we still down 1.5 million jobs?
