indoor attenna quesiton-?

I just got a digital convertor box for my analog t.v. and it is working great. However it says I am only getting 65 % attenna strength. I have an old rabbit ears from Radio shack. I am thinking of getting new indoor attenna. Do I need a digital indoor antenna with the convertor box to get more attenna power or will a regular one work just as well with the convertor box for increasing the signal

A "digital" antenna is mostly just marketing term for an antenna designed to receive the TV spectrum that is being/will be used for most digital channels. It is okay to get one.

There is no such thing as a digital antenna. All antennas are capable of picking up both analog and digital signals. Hell, I can get digital channels on my TV by putting a paper clip in the antenna jack. The signal is dependent on many factors:

-How tall the buildings are in your area

-How many trees are surrounding you

-If there is an airport nearby

-How far away the broadcaster is from your antenna

-Which way the antenna is being aimed (multi-directional antennas are the best. Other antennas can give you different channels if you face them different ways)

I repeat, there is no such thing as a "digital" antenna. If it is a marketing term, most likely it is in reference to an antenna bundled with a digital converter box (ATSC Tuner)
