why is MFI closing down?
I feel sorry for all the people who are going to lose their jobs because of the collapse of MFI,but i hope all the top dogs don't get a big payout.
what a way to run a Business.
i bought a MFI kitchen about 10years ago with fitted hob and oven.and washing machine with a door on.5weeks ago the washing machine broke so i thought what it will cost me to have it repaired i may as well get a new one.as i had it off MFI i
thought that's the place to go.
"can you take me a washing machine out and fit me a new one in"no can do,they could sell me one but i would have to get someone to fit it ,they only did full kitchen fittings. How much business did they lose with a policy like that
good luck to them

mfi and magnet and southerns are lousy to work for and are lousy with aftersales care too
did you know that they do a 50% markup as pure profit on all their goods? (that is after the transportation, raw materials, wages, etc is taken into consideration) and yet they treat folks like garbage - it would not surprise me if their top-dogs get a massive payout and they offer stupidly insultingly small payouts to those who actually do all the work in lieu
i would go to chains that specialise in white goods and ask for their recommendation for a fitter

The same reason Woolworth's is in trouble and other stores: The economy. It sucks people are going to lose their jobs, especially before Christmas.
