What miracles has god done today?

A response to another person questioning religion prompted this answer:

"...and for anyone who dosnt believe, jsut read about the miracles performed all over the world each day then argue. use logic at least not just your opinion. use facts. read up on it."

So I used logic, I looked, I read. I found a few news items where people thanked a god for helping them. But I couldn't find any evidence of miracles. That seemed odd since they happen every day all over the world. We're supposed to use logic, not opinion. So, has anyone else any evidence of god (they didn't specify which god) performing miracles that are not simply the witnesses opinion?

Update:

Breathing, making babies, recovering from pain, and learning are biological functions of the body, no miracle there.

Update 2:

Miracles CAN be tested by science. When science can determine that something has occurred that is impossible by any natural means it could therefore be supernatural. To simply say that the supernatural cannot be tested is incorrect. If it's real it can be measured or counted, even if it doesn't fit with any other part of the world. When science cannot explain something it is merely due to lack of knowledge.

Update 3:

The sunrise is a function of the solar system, no miracle there. A breeze is a function of a planet with an atmosphere, no miracle there.

Yes, some odd things have happened. People recovering from illness or or even conditions of death for example, it's remarkable, and the very thing one might call a miracle. But again just because it is explained does not mean there is no explanation. Two skyscrapers on the same day collapsing from fire after planes crashed into them, it simply isn't possible. They are built to withstand such torture. But it happened. There's nothing supernatural about such things.

Update 4:

Sorry, that should read 'just because it isn't explained' above.

Update 5:

Ah yes, the bible, 2000 years old used as evidence today...

Mark 6:5 "And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands on a few sick folk, and healed them."

Mighty work or miracles, depending on which version you use, may or may not be the same.

Mark 6:6 "And he marvelled because of their unbelief."

So here this all powerful man has no power over those that do not believe. Hardly seems powerful. One would think the unbelievers would be those that should most witness such miracles. It only works on the believers? Kinda like psychics, feng shui, telepathy, homeopathic remedies, quija boards, ghosts, good luck charms, and so on.

For starters, these are not daily miralces, but check out incurupt/saints bodies and the holy light on google.

Go to Jeruselum on orthodox easter for the holy light. If we all went, we would all be Christians. The non burn to burn after 33 minutes is amazing.

God works miracles the place faith is..God isn't any different yesturday immediately or continuously. Jesus wasn't able to do miracles while the folk have been in disbelief. an analogous applies immediately. yet, many miracles are happening in countries the place the surely everyone seems to be comfortable to the potential of the Holy Spirit and have faith in God's word being proclaimed...

Yes. The miracles ive witnessed have all been in my opinion. Those are special to me and I don't share. But, recently I heard a story of a man whose heart was stopped for twenty minutes, he was administered CPR and, when his heart began beating again and he came to, he had no brain damage. I suppose a miracle would be anything that defied scientific logic so, if you look close enough, miracles are all around us.

I have trouble believing there is a God.

So many bad things happen everyday all over the world.

If 'God' is real and is just sitting by watching this all happen I don't even want to acknowledge him. As he doesn't acknowledge those who truly need his help.

Perhaps when he decides to feed the starving children, cure Cancer and teach terrorists right from wrong I will take a bit more interest.

Miracles are not made of logic. The clock my grandmother gave me kept perfect time, yet it never chimed. Today, at 3:10, I was despondent. The clock chimed 11. Do I question the time? Or accept the gift?

    mir⋅a⋅cle   /ˈmɪrəkəl/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [mir-uh-kuhl]

–noun 1. an effect or extraordinary event in the physical world that surpasses all known human or natural powers and is ascribed to a supernatural cause.

Miracles can't be tested by any scientific method, as they are SUPERnatural, and not subject to the laws of man. Do a google search for modern day miracles if you really are serious about your search.

Interestingly, 'God' shows up for miracles all the time, yet fails to feed the millions of starving children who die daily from the basic lack of food and clean water. If we ask about why 'god' doesn't show up for those kids, we are told that it is 'sin' and 'free will' and 'the fallen world' that makes these children starve to death....yet 'god' performs 'miracles' all over the world daily. What I want to know is why 'god' would purposely choose to save some American guy from a burning building, yet completely ignore the 9 million children who have starved to death this year.

What is your definition of a miracle? My heart is pumping, i am breathing, i can see, hear, taste. I have a loving family, my car did not crash. the sun rose, the stars twinkle, the breeze is sweet. all these are miracles. There are so many that i could go one literally forever. in the words of the famous song whose name i cant remember: count you blessings name them one by one, count your blessing see what God has done

Mark 6:5 "because of their unbelief, he couldn't do any miracles among them." perhaps the world is so corrupt ....
