Rammstein satanic? what do you think?

Please, I need to know if Rammmstein are satanists.

I´m catholic, so I ´m careful with the kind of music I listen to. Do you guys think Rammstein worship Satan?I´ve been listening to them for about a month, as I´m learning German. I find their sound pretty good, but some of my friends have pointed out that Rammstein are said to be satanic. Is it true?

Why don't you look up the lyrics to their songs? You'll find that NOTHING in their music even hints at Satanism. They are an industrial metal band who enjoy stage theatrics and fire. Your friend is, honestly, full of crap.

No, they're not satanic. Yes, they have a dark side, but they are far from satanic. I listen to them all the time, and yet I'm a Methodist. It's the extreme christian groups who tell you Rammstein is satanic. Personally, I think putting religion into music is silly and pathetic.

No and that's the problem with listening to the opinions of religious people when it comes to material that is dark in nature. Just because they are dark, that doesn't mean they are evil or satanic. There are plenty of resources online like Herzeleid.com where you can look up translations of their lyrics. I would also like to note that the frontman and singer from the band Slayer is a devout catholic. Dark imagery or even satanic imagery doesn't mean anything at all.

The German language sounds AWFUL! It's gross and harsh, and sounds like those people need to clear their throats. Plus, whenever I hear of German or Germany, I instinctively think "Adolf Hitler"... not good. I cringe at the German parts at Rammstein's "Moskau", but I love the Russian bits :)) Their instrumentals sound good though :-)

  • I would say they are just a heavy industrial metal band that basically has love as the main theme in their lyrics. I have all their CD's on my mp3 player and I have never once heard a reference to satanism. They just plain rock and they love making music.

I hve never heard that Rammstein is Satanic. They are anti-american (Amerika...love that song!) to the extent that they are against american infiltration into foreign cultures. Perhaps that is where they get the satanistic stuff?

Why don't you do a little research yourself? Go to their website, find some publications on the band, etc,...

They do make good music, and I can't imagine why a band's faith is what determines your tastes in art.

And by the way, there are 2 types of Satanism too. Look into that.

I don't know but it's just music. Even if they have different beliefs than you it shouldn't change you if you have true faith. When people ask a question like this I usually recommend that they re-evaluate their own faith and beliefs, since it must be so weak that they think listening to a few songs will cause them to abandon it. Maybe religion is not for you?
