Who is in charge of Hell?

For arguments sake, let's assume there IS a Hell; is Satan the ruler of this underworld, or is he merely the on site manager for the Land Lord that is God. Or, is he simply just another damned resident with no real control?

If Satan is in charge of Hell, and the prince of all evil, why would he feel any need/obligation to punish those that undermined the will of God, his enemy?

If he is being punished in Hell, and is not really in charge, how is he able to manipulate events/people on Earth?

Satan is not the ruler, his destination, like all anti-christ is to suffer just like others who choose to go there. Jesus rules all things, as it is written HE has the keys of hell and of death and the lake of fire is the second death.

    Here is your answer:

O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, over which are (appointed) angels stern (and) severe, who flinch not (from executing) the Commands they receive from Allah, but do (precisely) what they are commanded.

    ( سورة التحريم , At-Tahrim, Chapter #66, Verse #6)

In Islam, there is not this epic battle between good and evil, because, obviously, God has power over all things. so, the devil cannot lead astray whom God has guided, and similarly, no one can guide whom God has misguided.

Also, in Islam, angels are not the cuddly little kids you see.

And they make into females angels who themselves serve Allah. Did they witness their creation? Their evidence will be recorded, and they will be called to account!

    ( سورة الزخرف , Az-Zukhruf, Chapter #43, Verse #19)

We have to only say things which we know are true, not what our fancies desire. Also, I think the bigger problem here is believing in a day of Judgement. That is more important than who is in charge of Hell.

    ----

Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the angels sent down to us, or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves, and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!

    ( سورة الفرقان , Al-Furqan, Chapter #25, Verse #21)

Read the Quran if you want to know more about the Islamic prespective on life.
