Where do health unit coordinators work other than in hospitals? ?

Question

I am about to start a course for health unit coordinator at my college. I was just wondering what places hire health unit coordinators other than hospitals. I never see job ads for HUCs anywhere other than at hospitals. Is there a different job title that a HUC would be hired under if working somewhere else?
At a Dr's office, wouldn't a medical assistant do the clerical part of the job in addition to the clinical part instead of a unit coordinator being hired?
Working in a hospital seems more intimating than working at a Dr's.office or somewhere else. Im sure I will be more confident after the complete the program though. 

Basically, Im just wondering if I will have different options to where I can work when I finish the program.

The unit coordinators also work in larger doctors offices, that have a harder time being monitored by the medical office assistants.  Like sometimes if there are many disciplines that involve nurses and doctors and many different specialists they would usually have unit coordinators.  Also agenices like cancer, disease control and those agenices would have them as well.  There are also government jobs and other higher agencies like that which would employ them as well. You could also find some luck maybe at rehabilitation or other agencies such as long term care facilities. I wish you all the best of luck, and know that you will find something.  I didn't have a lot of confidence either when I was taking the program, but after I took it, I felt that i could do anything that I put my mind to within the field.  I know that it will be the same with you as well. Just give it a chance!!!:)
