this is a qestion for the wiccan religion.?

I was raised christian, No biggie i respect everyones right to believe what they want. My question is on impaths or empaths? What is this? i just want to know what this means. Does it mean that these few people with this gift can feel how others are feeling or can tell what they are thinking?

I ask only because i have always been able to size people up pretty quickly. Sometimes im almost sure of what certain people are thinking and why. Its kind of scary. But in a cool way. Well anyway i was wondering if maybe i should research things a little more maybe i have a gift that ive never mastered or bothered to learn about.
