Does President elect barrack obama still want to have peaceful meetings with the taliban?

and has he seen the new movie "where in the World is Osama Bin Laden"? I think if he goes over there they will kill him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYmEA4O6a10

Update:

I highly recommend the movie to those interested.

Update 2:

This is only a link to a trailor to a movie I watched in entirely tonight.

Yes. Obama is their friend I think. Isn't he the same guy that said in his book that he would "stand with his Muslim brothers" in times of trouble?

    1. Saw that movie and couldn't care much for it. Morgan Spurlock should stick with the 30days series.

    2. Anyone who isn't a local and travels to Afganistan at this present time has a huge chance of getting killed - not just Obama.

    3. Obama never specificaly said that he will have any form of meeting with the Taliban - peacful or not.

    No, not peaceful.

I think he wants to meet with them now and torture them for hours by holding the original copy of his birth certificate just inches from their face with the actual 'birth' place covered in duct tape.

    Oh wait, that's republicans.

I hope he still plans at some point to attempt diplomatic process with any nation willing to go through the process.

The President never meets with any country for the first meeting. Clinton would do that. That's one of the purposes of the Sect of State. To meet with nations. Don't know about the Tlilban but if they did want to meet, they would meet Clinton.

He has never said he wanted to have "peaceful meetings with the taliban".

edit: He has said he would be willing to sit down with Kim Jong Ill and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad but he has never said the Taliban.

"Barack". It's in all the papers.

Since the Taliban are not the heads of any state, I'm not seeing any correspondence to anything Obama has said. Clarification?

GW Bush had peaceful meetings with the Taliban. Hell, Ronald Reagan and Bush's dad put the Taliban in charge in the first place!

Why shouldn't Obama try diplomacy first? Isn't war supposed to be a last resort?

  • 1 decade ago

Of course. Keep in mind that Obama is a left wing liberal socialist Democrat. They are all about talking and no action.
