hey guys i have observed that women have made rapid strides in every field except that of butchers and cabbie Business...i have rarely see actually just once or twice and i have never seen women work in slaugther house killing those chickens..lol maybe the sigth of blood scares them off...(if any1 knows so they can post links0

but never the less i must say that they have made rapid strides in all fields and are better than their male counterparts

My female cousin was a cabbie for years and now a truck driver. I have only seen 1-2 female butchers though. I doubt it is the blood that scares them off, as the typical woman probably sees more blood in her lifetime than the typical male. I think it could be partially attributed to the way women are wired to nurture and heal while men are wired to hunt and kill. While I don't feel most women would seek a career as a butcher, they would definitely do it if it was a means of providing for their family. My grandmother used to wring chicken's necks and bleed them all the time (we ate a whole lot of chicken and pastry, yuk). I would.

I have seen female butchers, but have never seen a female cab driver. Believe or not, just yesterday I was thinking of asking if anyone on here had ever seen any female cabbies.

Yeah there are quite a few, I know female cabbies, driving instructors and driving examiners.

I think women usually have more or a stomach for blood and guts.

You don't get many young butchers either.

The Australian town I'm in, there are quite a few female cabbies. But not many butchers.

A huge percentage of people working in slaughterhouses are female. Have you ever been to a slaughterhouse? I've seen a number of female cabbies, but yes, they're only a small minority of cabbies.

I used to work with a woman that worked in a chicken slaughterhouse, and women cabbies were pretty common in my town at that time.

Around here, most butchers are women. Go figure.

My ex boss was a 27 year old woman and she used to work in a slaughterhouse. she was mental as i was only 17 and we worked in a card shop. i was part time staff and she used to say i hate this shop i wish i worked in my old job. to me that is weird and i thought she had a screw loose.
