To all the housewives out there?

Question

I'm not technically a "housewife" I live with my parents and was laid off several months ago amd still unable to find work. (Irrelevant) Anyway... I've taken over all the chores of the house since I'm here most of the time. But there is this thing that my dad does that irritates me to no end.. 

He works nights and gets home from work at around noon everyday.. by then I'm usually well into my chores for the day. Anyway.. he does not speak one word to me until I head into the kitchen to start dinner. It's always the same crap.. he hears pans clinking in the kitchen, he comes over, and asks: "What are you making?" To which I always reply: "I don't know" because I find it extremely annoying that he hears a noise in the kitchen and runs over.. suddenly I'm worth talking to.

I have had minor arguments with him due to this idiotic (for lack of a better word) behavior.. but honestly, its useless. Is there anyone else who finds themselves in this situation?? If so, how can I make it stop?? lol Any positive jokes would also be appreciated.. thanks guys.

I get that all the time...I am not a housewife because I do work, but when I get home....to a house full of three kids, 2 aren't mine (younger, bro and sis) we have one son.....anyways, I work part time, I am a nanny for a toddler part time and I am a student full time so my schedule is Prettyy hectic. My husband works 32 hours right now due to a cut back in his job and he fishes and sits on his ***. When I get in the kitchen he or one of the kids ask me what I am making, I tell them," food". When I say that they say," yeah but what?" And I want to scream and say," what does it matter, because in this house it is take it or leave it!!" Drives me up the wall....why does anyone ask if they know that it is the only option AND if they don't like it then they know that they are on their own and I can't help but think if you are lazy and can't make your own, or eat what I am making then you should just STFU....sorry....I had to vent that out....you make a good point though, LOL.

i have to say also kill him with kindness. that is the best way to get along and to get someone back. i guess not having my dad you are lucky to at least have one. maybe make a point to be gone when he gets home. good luck

Just let it ride... my daddy bother me too but i igg him to death... just try to stick it out the best you can and just kill em with kindness
