I planted cucumbers but they only get to an inch long and stop growing. It's like they didn't set. Why is this?

    The vines stopped or the fruit stopped? I'm so confused.

    Did you plant them inside in small pots or outside? It could be either a lack of water or too much water.

    the soil has to be warm and needs nutrients, give them a feed of super phosphate , keep watered and train the runners up a fence or rails

    you plant in the spring, not winter. there isnt enough hot sun/daylight-
