maybe obama should help them?

Maybe Obama should bail out the auto-makers!

"President-elect Barack Obama's aides released new information showing the magnitude of their [fund-raising] feat: They raised nearly $1 billion for his campaign and other election-related efforts.

"The stunning total includes already recorded and estimated fundraising for his campaign, national convention, transition and upcoming inauguration."

Update:

With money from his campaign fund, not tax dollars!!!

Of course, he will. You should already know that.

I don't think anyone should help them. They aren't willing to change there ways it would just be money thrown in a sink hole.Even the workers are not wanting to take any real cuts.Well I never had a job paid nowhere near that an hour. And I guess if I did I would fight to keep all that, but don't you think it is unrealistic to expect to get to keep going with all that while the person buying the cars they make on $11 an hour?? I know I am no genius but I ain't that stupid.Wealthy people don't drive a ford. For that matter neither do poor folks, you can't afford the shop fees.Just a thought.

If he got 1 billion trying to be the president with all the charisma he could muster(or rather, his staff did), how could he possibly get 34 more for companies most of us don't want a bailout for? (35 is the estimate I last heard, but I heard other figures as well. If you heard different, sorry.)

He's not going to bail them out with money from a long, drawn out campaign, if that's what you're asking.

He only raised (a little less than) a single billion and spent most of it to get elected. Detroit's Big Three seek thirty four billion. Simple arithmetic tells us one lousy billion bucks won't satisfy them, a billion he no longer has anyway. Okay, yours was a tongue-in-cheek suggestion. Nice one. Stars.
