Did anyone else see the documentary "Dear Zachary?"?

Wow!! I had not heard this true story but I recommend watching it. Has anyone else seen it?

Were you as moved as me? I do not usually cry at movies, but this one blew me away.

I'd never heard about this story before but I saw the documentary and it did make me cry. I think what makes it even more sad is the fact that Zachary will never get to see it because his mother murdered him. I hope that the incident encourages the Canadian government to rethink their position on extradition and even letting an accused murderer out on bail and, even knowing that it's likely she was mentally ill, allow her to maintain custody of her son. This was a major failure on the part of the Canadian justice system and the loss was tragically avoidable.

I watched this a few days ago and was blown away as well. I cried so hard. The build up of the movie was such that I thought that there had to be a happy ending and when that wasn't the case I just started bawling. It was such a touching and loving tribute and my heart ached for the sweet parents/grandparents of Andy and Zachary. I plan to read the book "Dancing with the Devil" and make a donation to the Andy Bagby scholarship. Something has to be done about letting psychopatchic killers back out onto the streets, and especially letting them care for children.

    Oh my GOD.... yes.

I caught it just by chance as I was flipping channels on t.v. last night.

It caught my attention, initially, when they were showing past video clips of Andrew. Just something about him drew me in. His obvious warmth, sense of humor, SOMETHING! I couldn't have changed the channel at that point if I had wanted to!

I was stunned a few minutes into it to learn he had been murdered. How and by whom, just blew me away.

And then, to learn she was pregnant with his baby, and what Andrew's parents had to go through just to see that precious little boy.

But, the 'rest of the story' shocked me SO very much. It was so unexpected and horrifying I actually shouted 'NO!' out loud! (Something I don't believe I have EVER done before in my life when watching a documentary on television). I found myself absolutely heart-broken.

I have never been so affected and moved from something I watched on t.v. ~I still can't stop thinking about the whole thing.

May God bless Zachary, Andrew, David and Kate Bagby, and all who love them.

~and, may Shirley Turner burn in Hell.
