You are not overweight. It is healthier to have a little extra poundage during pregnancy! Eat whatever you want; ice cream with pickles, burritos, anything! After you have the baby is the time to worry about your weight and even then you'll probably be so busy taking care of the baby that you won't have time to eat and will lose weight anyway : ) Good luck!

Hey! Well i dont think your over weight.

Im 34 possibely 35 weeks and weighted 137 at my last doctors appointment which was on December 2! I was 98 pounds pre-pregnancy.I seriously thought i wasnt being so healthy, however i finaly realized.Whats the point in worrying about weight? Being pregnant you will definantly gain weight! :P Dont worry about your weight.

I was told 5 - 6 small meals a day work out better! Plus are suppose to be more healthier!

    Good luck :)

you are not serious. you cannot lose weight in a healthy way while you are pregnant. you can eat very healthy and exercise regularly to make your pregnancy go very very well. your goal should be just not to gain a massive amount of unnecessary weight by eating junk food. weight that you gain eating a healthy diet will not be hard to shed after you are done nursing the baby.

When pregnant, the only diet you should be taking is one to improve the quality of the food you eat. One with tons of vitamins, protean, and calcium. A diet right now will actually increase the long term damage your body takes from pregnancy. Even without a diet, your body uses nutrients from your own bones and muscles to grown your baby. A diet will increase the amount that your body has to cannibalize itself in order to create the baby.

  • 138 is only overweight, if you are about 4 ft tall!

It is never safe to 'diet' while pregnant at all, losing weight is not your goal.

Just stick to the fruit and veg, and do some light exercise such as yoga or walking.

  • Try swimming, or yoga. Some places have exercise classes for pregnant women, which would probably be your best bet.

As far as food goes, anything healthy, try searching on google for some diets for pregnant women.

  • I just found out I'm pregnant and I'm 5'4 and I weigh 138 normally.. And I'm not overweight. o_O Don't worry so much, jeez. You're lucky.

DO NOT DIET WHILE PREGNANT. you should absolutely not try to lose any weight during a pregnancy...ever. just eat healthy, walk, and enjoy being pregnant. jesus... shame on you for asking that question.

If that's you in your picture, you don't have any problems. I went from 125 lbs. before I was pregnant, up to 155 lbs. right before I gave birth. Just make sure you tell yourself you're beautiful and it's all natural.
