1 1/2 cups heavy cream
1/3 cup milk
1 1/2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 clove garlic, pressed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1 tablespoon butter, softened
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Preheat Oven to 400 F.
Wash and cut potatoes into 1/4-inch slices, then cut the slices into chunks.
Mix together cream, milk, flour, garlic, salt and white pepper by hand until combined.
Coat inside of a large baking pan with softened butter. Arrange 1/3 of the potatoes in dish and top with some of the cream mixture. Repeat this 2 more times ending with cream mixture on top.
Cover the potatoes and bake for 20 minutes. Then uncover and cook an additional 40 minutes. Sprinkle with grated cheese and bake 5-10 minutes more until cheese is bubbly and lightly browned.
*If you like your au gratin potatoes to have more sauce, you can decrease the number of potatoes you start with.

Of course, potatoes 'au gratin' is just a side dish. Not the main course. Easy to prepare. Just make it look fancy. After cooking, place it in a tray, as sprinkle the top with just a smidgen of paprika, Sprinkle it between two fingers, this way you won't put too much. One slice of American Cheese (or any cheese) cut into thin strips and arranged in the center of the potato plate in the form of a star * . Perfect. Fancy. Classy. Easy as sin. Good Luck.

If you want to eat truly healthy, lose body fat consistently, normalize your blood pressure, cholesterol levels, prevent cancer, and even boost your brain health and energy levels, you may have heard all over the news that the Paleo Diet has been found to be one of the best methods of achieving all of these benefits compared to any other popular "fad" diets out there. Go here https://biturl.im/aUA6C
The truth is that the Paleo Diet will never be considered a fad because it's just simply the way that humans evolved to eat over approximately 2 million years. And eating in a similar fashion to our ancestors has been proven time and time again to offer amazing health benefits, including prevention of most diseases of civilization such as cancer, heart disease, alzheimers, and other chronic conditions that are mostly caused by poor diet and lifestyle. One of the biggest misunderstandings about the Paleo Diet is that it's a meat-eating diet, or a super low-carb diet. This is not true

I'm not familiar with the restaurant, but if they won't tell you, try going to a deli and tasting cheeses. I highly recommend adding a bit of freshly grated nutmeg--it really makes the dish.
