if i do a search on facebook, sometimes i can look at peoples profiles without being their friends and sometimes i can't. how do i know what my own account shows up like to other strangers?

go to settings and then account settings...
you can control what info you share to other ppl

In the upper right corner mouse over setting and select the 2nd privacy settings. On the next screen select profile. Put whatever you like to friends only...and your ok

they still can view private profiles with this other programs like
spykx.com or firefox
