I have some refrigerated cold gin, but I don't want to store it in the fridge, is it okay warm it back up?
I ordered some specialty gin through the mail as a gift for someone, but it arrived cold. I can't store it in the fridge or freezer, or else the recipient of the gift will find it. Is it okay to let it warm back up and wrap it? Or does it have to stay refrigerated once it's been chilled?
In response to your asking, it's Tanqueray No. 10 Gin. :) Christmas gift for the hubby.

By all means take it out of the fridge.
Gin is a delicate alcohol, but it's generally 80 proof... it won't skunk, cloud or have any other problems.
What kind of gin?
Hendricks is a fun brand :-D

I love Tanqueray and no if u have refrigerated it then took it out its fine, alcohol particles are very non responsive to temperature, it wont freeze and wont turn out bad if warm, the taste will be more harsh just cause its warm but I'm sure when u give it to your friend they will put it back into the refrigerator.

It doesn't need to be chilled. Keep it in the back of the closet or something until Christmas, it will keep just fine. It will be best served chilled though -- but I'm sure hubby will be able to wait for it to get cold before he drinks it. :)
