No my mother was not like yours she was just the opposite had to be ill and she have everything else twice as bad as anyone.

Your mum sounded a great lady with a good humour and I expect you miss her.

My mom had something wrong all of the time. She had a prescription for every condition. From the time she was in her late twenties, she suffered from headaches, high blood pressure, back pain, stomach pain, leg pain, on the verge of diabetes, ear problems, lost her eyesight in her late 30s, cholesterol/trig levels outrageously high. I remember a few times when she was feeling decent, but most memories of mom were of her being sick. Kidney failure finally took her at 70. She always tried to get dad to take some of her meds when he had a complaint. Dad is like I am, I don't want to take anything unless a 'have to' case, and certainly would not take other peoples prescription meds. Mom had such an array of pretty colored pills that would make Skittles look dull.

My mother was just like the mother of Just Joyce. She thought she could do anything. She hit the ground running about 6AM and didn't stop much before 7PM. She never saw a doctor and took nothing stronger than a Tylenol. She died in her sleep at 64.

No, my mom was the opposite. She avoided the doctor even when she was sick. My dad always had to drag her there against her will. Then after Dad died, my aunt took over. Unfortunately no one did enough in the way of getting her to the doc for regular check-ups, and she ended up having strokes serious heart disease, and an aortic aneurysm that eventually took her life.

My father was like that. He was always howling about one ailment or another, and he did have some major health problems towards the end of his life. We never knew if he was "crying wolf" or it was the real thing. Dad was never careful about taking the proper dose of medicine either. He would pop 2 or 3 pills if he thought it would make him feel better. Liked his liquor too.

She became human 2 years before she passed away. Before that she was a robot with less feelings than a genuine robot. Never showed emotion! She did suffer rheaumatoid artritis for 40 years, though.

    Peace.

In due time the list of whats wrong and whats hurting on you will be longer than anyone around you will have the patience to listen to... and you unwillingly will have gone where she had once been. Condolences. Best wishes and good luck.
