how do i talk openly to my hubby?

he dosent drink all the time, but some hard drinks make him mean. the kids and i know this.....they have asked me to tell him no hard drinks when he comes home for christmas holidays(he works out of town) how do i request this to him with out making him upset, we all want a happy christmas, not to be walking on egg shells. what do i say??

    Ask him when he isn't drinking. If you wait until he is he'll just get mad.

    Let him know that the kids have noticed too much makes him mean, and that they would appreciate it if he would stay away from the hard stuff and everyone can have a peaceful Christmas. Since your kids are being affected it's a serious problem that needs to be dealt with.

    "You get mean when you drink. If you are mean, it will spoil Christmas for the children and I. Would you mind not drinking any hard drinks on Christmas? I really want us all to have a good Christmas."

    Be upfront. If he'd rather hurt your kids and you then hes not worth it. Tell him he can spend Christmas alone then.
