Creole People are known to be of African and French descent. They come in all shades just as any mixed person..They can look more white or more black. The creole culture can be found in Louisiana, Martinique, and Guadeloupe, to name a few..

Here's a website of what some Creole people look like both past and present...

Source(s): Let me rephrase it. A Creole person is more like a bit of everything. Black, White, Spanish, French, and maybe Native American...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tfVpHYyDcY

They are a mixed of French Canadian/Native Americans/Black/English/on and on. True Creoles are really just French Canadians forced down after England Took control of Canada.

They are both white, black, and the black ones are probably mixed, because yes they do have French in them. (but do an image search)

And many of them still speak French, but of course it's not the same as what they speak in France. Their language has the influences of the other cultures from living here in America, and the African heritage as well.

EDIT: here is an excellent definition in the following link,

and Oh, sorry, I forgot about the Spanish heritage as well.

Creole isnt a race, its more of a culture. And just mixing with a "french" person dosent make you creole. Just like being black and immigrating to the U.S. dosent give you African American heritage. Creole culture is 100's of years old and passed down. It should be known much of the culture created by "creoles" (Jazzing, cusine, etc) were the ones of Black American heritage.

Source(s): I have creole relatives but I dont carry the culture..Hence I am part French but not creole.

There are black, mixed-raced, and white creoles. Alot of the people who we think of as creoles just have a different culture than other black people. They aren't any more mixed than the average black person.

They're usually mixed with French, black, Spanish, and Native American, I believe.

Creole is a language that is fluently spoken in Haiti and most french-speaking countries..most Hatiains are of african-american descent with a mixture of dominican republic(due to the fact the the dominican republic is like the neighbor of haiti) and the carribeans...But most likey when you see a person of Haitian descent they will look like an african-american....google.com is the best place to find such info...type in Haiti and you will find that Creole is a language and not a ethnicity
