What does "Imperfectus sum, me meliorem faciam" mean?
And is that grammatically correct for a sentence in latin? I am getting it tattooed on my body, and I got this phrase from someone who majored in latin, but you can never be too careful, so I am double checking.
only answer if you know latin. Basically this is going to be on my body forever, so wild guesses are not acceptable or appreciated. I know what it means, I just want to know if it is grammatically correct, and if its connotation and context make sense.

"frediwhi...'s" answer is really quite good ("I am not perfect bit I am improving myself.").
Having said this, the only thing incorrect is the tense of the verb "faciam"; it is future tense not present tense. Better would be "I am not perfect bit I will improve myself.".
Another possibility? "I am not perfect but I will do better." or "I am not perfect but I will make (It/myself) better."
Now you know what is grammatically correct; but you still might want to consider a tee shirt. It is less expensive and not at all permanent.

I vote for "I am not perfect bit I am improving myself." Rather long, don't you think?
I suggest you put your mottos on tee shirts so you won't have to pay to get them removed when you realize how poor they are.
I knew a lady whose shirt front read 'Nobody's Perfect.' The back said 'But parts of me are excellent.'

Wild guess here cuz I have no background in Latin:
At first, I thought it might have meant: "I am not perfect so I want to improve my face," but I think it would not make a great tattoo.
So I'm going for this: "I am not perfect, that's what makes me look pretty."
