You're kidding, right? You can't figure out what a cat is "saying".. They don't talk. But, you can find out how a cat feels by certain gestures. If their ears or tail are straight down, the cat probably has something to do with it.

the one that is hiding is obviously intimidated by the other one. try taking the cats outside if its warm, or putting them in a totally separate room with a door closed and then put something appealing in front of where it is hiding, hopefully it comes out, then put one cat at a time in the room and you'll find out which cat it is. good luck! =]

There's a product called a Meowlingual, made by the same people who made the Bow-lingual. It's made in Japan. It's not meant for serious use though, just something for fun. But due to low success of the Bow-lingual in the U.S., it was never released in the U.S.

    Source(s): Wikipedia, I own a Bow-lingual, and Animal Planet.

They do sort of communicate with their meows. My kitten will answer me when I compliment him with a little meow..just barely opening his mouth...but he does it all the time like he's answering me...then at night he has a silent meow so as not to disturb others....and then he has the meow-purr which a lot of cats have...

My cat has different miouws for different situations. I can tell the difference between the sound she makes when she wants me to clean her litter tray, and the sound she makes when she wants food, and the sound she makes when she is surprised.
