Besides America, which country would you trust to bail you out?

America has always bailed out its friends, and in some cases, its enemies. We bailed out the UK, Russia, France, and Canada in WW2. We continue aiding Europe and Africa to increase their standards of living.

We help Israel defend themselves against Palestinian extremists. We are helping China and India grow. We truly are the best nation, bar none. God bless America.

Besides us, which country would you trust to bail you out? This question can be answered by Americans, of course, but it's aimed at the foreigners.

Update:

UK needs America to bail itself out. I think they would be a horrible choice.

If Russia were our ally, they would be a good choice for a bail out.

Update 2:

Britain is pretty pathetic. They insult us now, 2 minutes later they'll go to a night club and dance to American music and talk about the latest Hollywood blockbuster. American culture at its finest (club + American music + Hollywood).

Given your country put Saddam Hussein, Pinochet, the Shah in Iran, etc into power and funded, armed and trained terrorists to remove democratically elected leaders, I think most of us could to without your "help".

Judging from your "facts" I think America needs to concentrate on its education system before anything else, maybe it will raise your standard of living up to that of Canada, Australia or several European countries such as France, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, Holland, etc...

Oh yeah, as for which country, try France, they did a fairly good job bailing the US out, you would still be a colony if it wasn't for them.

Well after your glowing endorsement of the good ole USA. You ought to consider the reasons why it seems that the good ole USA bails out its friends. The simple reason is self interest, self interest and more self interest, without bailing its friends out it would never have become dominant or a true world super power. It was only because of the 2nd world war, that the US broke free of its inward looking seclusion and isolationisum.

In some ways its rather sad to read your question because your views are way fo the mark , but are typical of some americans

Before you get on your high horse and diminish the whole world in favour of the good ole usa. just remember that the current world wide credit crunch, financial melt down stems from toxic loans corrupt banking practises and sub prime crapolla which all stems from the GOOD OLE USA. hahaha its so funny i could cry.

Has for american music best well , just remember that what language its song in. and yeah your films are ok , too many of them show the bankrupt society that you live in. And before you get on your high horse again .. let me tell you that i lived in the states and have travelled to evey part of it and have seen things that are reminiscent of the third world. have you been to new orleans lately? what a joke!. When you get chance take a car drive across the states from east to west, keeping off the interstate highways, go see the poverty that exisists. its a real shame that the worlds most powerful country thinks so littke about its own citizens..

hey, here in the UK the EU countries have our backs. we have still got strong ties with china and you can bet there's a hot slice of the middle east who would stand up for us. Poland would drop trou. for us in a pinch and Australia still love us well enough. In a hurry- France and Germany would take the opportunity to have us owe them a favour.

The UK really don't need America. Nobody does- we're all just scared of what your tyrannicle administration will do to us if we don't toe the line. You guys dominate the WTO and the UN. Nato only bully who you say and the reason so much of the world is poor is that America is so rich.

who are you gonna call? us? we'll do whatever you say so don't worry about it. just don't go begging for any favours in the hindu kush because you've oppressed north africa into asia for far too long.

It depends what you mean by 'bail out'. If you mean would help with military action, then you have to ask who has some reasonable firepower and who is not going to get awkward when asked to help and who spends enough on their military to make it effective.

The only one I can think of would be the UK. Runners up might be places like Canada and Australia.

[update] The UK have never really been in a desperate situation to need help. The US brought WW2 to an end sooner, but it would have ended with the same result anyway.

Russia are a bad choice simply because they have no money for anything right now and certainly not militarily.

At this time there are no other nations with a stable economy. We were the last hit in these hard times and therefore the odds are in favor of the U.S. having to pull the rest up once more. The problem is, it is China that is the in best shape to pull anyone out of this hole we have put ourselves in.

In a fight where I needed backup I'd pick an Israeli first, an Aussie second, A Canute third and a Limey fourth of this modern generation.

Have you been reading the comics again?

The USA only assist when it stands to gain something.

The US aid to Africa is written on paper only-----a pity full amount of US aid actually takes place.

The USA only entered WW2 after it got a hammering from the Japanese.

The USA entered WW1 late , only after the sinking of one of its ships.

The USA assists Israel as the US uses Israel as its Middle East "policeman" ,it keeps an eye on regional stability ,remember there is OIL in the Middle East .

The West Bank Palestinian situation is a tradegy.

How did the US bail Russia out?, as I remember you were hiding under your beds from communists for 30+_ years.

Most recently the US attempted to instal missiles in Poland, Thanks for putting your arms in our backyard .

Canada-I don't think they would agree

Oh yes, and thanks, for the recent Credit Crunch,Iraq,Afghanistan,Guantanamo and the wonderful George Bush .

You are having a laugh aren't you?

You "bailed" us out in WW2 because you couldn't avoid it (and boy did you try) any longer because you new you would be next.

Vietnam was great piece of American history, and you are playing a blinder in Iraq at the moment.

Don't forget you often shoot your own team (ye ha).

I don't trust you guys at all! Doesn't your Presidents family benefit financially from war/arms sales? Hmmm how convenient!
