    You can still do ab work, as well as upper body strengthening with weights.

    Fix it real fast and that's not an issue.

    The short version:Pain is a signal generated by distressed or damaged tissue. That signal is sent to the brain; if it is processed in the feeling center you get location and ouch, if it is processed in the visual cortex you get a 3d color picture of whats wrong. Riped cables/muscles, damaged pipes/vein or arteries and so forth.

    Once you know exactly whats wrong it is possible to fix it. By providing external or muscular stimulus it is possible under visual control to line up those ripped end and fuse them. Therefore eliminating the need for that annoying pain signal.

    You can still do ab work, as well as upper body strengthening with weights. from michelle D the first answerer, I'd ask ur dr what is ok to fdo. Each dr. will have differnet rehab protocals.
