Why are so many gardening questions so lame?
seriously, if you have the wherewithal and chutzpah to get to yahoo questions you can google as good an answer without bothering people who seriously want to help.

I agree. It seems like it would be more convenient to search the Internet for some of those questions people ask. Yahoo answers is for answers you can't find on the internet. But it makes me laugh when people search for vague things like "I got a new ivy-- how do I take care of it?" It would be much easier for everyone on yahoo answers, including the asker, if they just performed a simple google search for "ivy houseplant care".

Sorry but you are sooooo misguided. Most of gardeners love to talk about our experiences in the garden and are constantly searching for new ideas and new soul mates to brag about out gardens to. A sponsored answer on google is usually worthless. I will talk garden all day long and not feel a bit bothered or annoyed!!

Sometimes the answer to a question can't be found online.
Otherwise, asking lame questions helps others earn easy points.
If the questions are lame to you, just don't bother to answer.

Not necessarily. A lot of the so-called experts you google give different advice--some of it contrary to each other. Besides, it's good to get advice from as many folks as you can--if you've gone to the trouble to care for something, you would do anything to keep it living.

sometimes it is easier to ask a group of 6000+ people then it is to spend 3 hours surfing 60 worthless google hits till you find an answer that pertains to what you want. also most people don't know about www.davesgarden.com
