How old was your child when they said their first word?

My firsts first word (damn it!-horrible I know) was at about 13 months.

Secodn I dont remember.

Third's was cracker at about 9 months. She said Thank you today!!(13 months)

My daughter Daisy was 8 months when she first said mama and 9 months when she started somewhat saying her name. We have it on tape because no one ever believes us. She has always been very advanced for her age mentally, and a little slower physicaly. She didn't walk until she was about 1 year and 3 months. Which is not really that late, but everyone else in the family walked before the year mark. She could also count to 10 in both spanish and english before she was 2.

My niece was about 11mnths. She said "mumma and dadda" and then all of a sudden, said "bell" which is what her mum calls me, she must have overheard! From there, when she was about 13-15mnths everything popped out. "No. Stop. Bad. Puppy. Kitty. Dinns." etc. :)
