Is there any hope for mankind?

Whether you believe in God or not, and whether you believe that a hope is needed...Outside of the cross of Christ, is there any hope for any of us or mankind as one?

Update:

OK maybe I shouldn't have mentioned mankind. For each of us as an individual...

It seems to me that ther is no hope outside of Christ, because in the end you're always alone and you just die and go nowhere....

Not outside of Christ. There will never be a temporal peace as long as sin exists.

    NO hope outside Christ's cross.

  • I think we have all the hope in the world. Humanity is in charge of its own destiny and not hung up on the strings of a cosmic puppet master. Sure, we make lots of mistakes. Sometimes really awful ones. But we keep on moving forward and I really do have hope that we will continue to make this a better world.

Edit: For me personally? Sure, I have hope because I know it's within my ability to reach for my goals in this life. I don't need any hope for anything after death because I don't think there's anything there.

Yes, but there isn't any inside the cross. It's all on the outside.
