Will this charger work on this other airsoft gun? Is the other gun good?
I have Colt Field Duty AEG Rifle and Pistol Kit from Dick's Sporting Goods. Someone accidentally threw out the charger. I was wondering if most all airsoft guns have the same charger so that I could get another and I would be able to charge the old AEG Rifle. I was thinking about getting the Crosman NightProwler. Is there another better electric gun under $130 maybe with a detachable stock. Thanks.

OK let's see. When I decide to mix and match chargers and batteries I compare voltage and amplitude
If your battery and charger have the same voltage (volts/v) you're in the right ballpark.
Second amplitude (amp/mAh) Most chargers are about 250amps. As long as you have the same voltage you can basically mix any amp charger and battery.
But usually on most stock batteries for airsoft guns, you can simply match voltage of the battery and charger and get away with it. Just make sure your charger and battery have the same amplitude.
One word of advice, if your battery begins to get warm/hot, unplug it. It's either done charging

Electric airsoft guns aren't the things that are being charged; it's actually the battery that powers them. As long as you have one charger, any battery that's the same type will be able to be charged by it. By that I mean that if you have two large batteries made by different companies with different charges and stuff, they can still be charged by the same charger because they are both large batteries, so they will plug into it correctly. The same goes for small batteries and nun-chucks. Also, if you go to airsplat.com, you can look under their middle level entry gun link and there will be a huge selection of guns under $130 that have proven to be just as good as the really expensive ones, and several of them will have either no stock, a detachable stock, or a folding stock. Good luck.

You can use whatever charger you like so long as the V is equal to or higher than the battery V and it has the right connectors.
If the new charger's mA output is different from the old one's, then your charge time will be different.

as long as your battery is either NiMh or NiCad, you can charge your battery with any charger. BUT! if you have a LiPoly/Lithium battery, you can only use a Balance charger. easier to manage a LiPoly battery. no need to discharge. actually, it's better to keep liply batteries charged.
