Should Favre return next year?
I think he was the main reason of the jets failure to reach the playoffs. Besides, there are rumors about his negative attitude in the locker room

I don't look for him next year
he won't get any offer better than a back up QB
his only chance is if the Jets can't get a good draft pick, or trade for their starting QB
then they might offer him a year as a "stopgap"
which he probably wouldn't take
it also probably depends of who the Jets choose as head coach

You can't blame one player. Favre was a reason they didn't make the playoffs. But not all the blame should go to him. He doesn't have a negative attitude, he just doesn't talk to a lot of Jet players in the locker room.
Would you be saying he should retire if the Jets made the playoffs. If he threw the same amount of interceptions but won those games, would it matter. If the Jets made it, would they be spreading rumors about Brett? No! They are just pointing fingers when the game is a team effort. Favre isn't the only player on the Jets.
Favre should retire, but not because he isn't a good player, because he's a gret player, he just doesn't work well with the Jets maybe the whole AFC. Favre should retire because he's aging. He's nearing 40. He's broken records, won Super Bowls, and 3 MVP awards. He's done it all. There is no reason why he should risk his body anymore.

No. Woody Johnson, team owner, multiple marriages, huge ego, thought he could buy a championship. Shame he knows nothing about football.
I'd love to see the look on his face if Pennington wins a playoff game: priceless.
Farve gave games away and Johnson used his failures to justify firing his coach. I can only hope:
-Mangini lands another gig and makes the playoffs
-Favre returns and stinks the house out
-Johnson, Davis and Jones get stranded on a desert island and think they have become multi-trillionaires by doing each others laundry.
Three biggest losers in sports.

Yes, he should play next season b/c he needs to get rid of those rumors by playing well. With the injury it hurt the jets season. He will come back after minor surgery and be back in '90's form

Should the Lions not change anything about their team?
Should the 8-8 Chargers be in the playoffs while the 11-5 Patriots are out?
Should Peyton Manning do any more commercials?

Yes he should most definitely return............................To the bayous of Mississippi where he is from. He has lots of money so he don't need to work. He can just go fishing in the bayous and gig for frogs and other critters. His football days are most definitely behind him. He just needs to realize it and move on.
