You are exactly right. And this trend has started a long time ago, and has intensified in the Clinton years. It is a symbol of American decadence, orchestrated for obscure reasons by most actors of the political and financial class, Democranks and Repuglicrats alike, and their financial backers, all being complicit in this situation. In the meantime, instead of having serious people offering serious proposals to our real problems, we have now the clown Franken going into the Senate. What an enormous and crass symbol ! And in the meantime, while US elites in MBA programs are still wasting heir brains (and our future) on lousy financial schemes, as they have been doing for many years, the young elites of emerging countries involve themselves more deeply in engineering and science and will continue kicking some serious butts in the 21st century. If we the people do not wake up and give their pink slip to this class of greedy lawyers, boozers, bamboozzlers, clowns and shysters and all their backers, and if we don't start imposing a real discussion about real issues, be they politically correct or not, this nation will slowly but inexorably be going down the tubes. And one of the major voices who have consistently denounced this madness for all these years is Patrick J. Buchanan. His columns are a must read, even if I do not always personally agree with everything he writes.

And they have made billions . They are just smarter then we are don't you know .
They have millions of workers who are starving and willing to work for just pennies an hour return to dirt floors fires to cook with and a pound of rice and beans with whatever fish or rodent can be caught to add to the pot .
We however have a higher standard of living which we maintained till the 70's when we decided jobs a monkey could do did not warrant $20.00 and retirement benefits . We fought to do away with unions and keep the minimum wage down while a handful of people made millions and billions of dollars of the backs of those workers and now you complain China is not playing fair . LOL

Yes, and now you know one of the underlying reasons for our current economic chaos. Many Americans have been put out of work by short-sighted government encouragement to move jobs overseas.
If you want to find US-made merchandise, try searching Google. Electronic items are pretty much all Chinese now, but other things can be found that are made in America.

I agree, republicans gave away our industrial might so we don`t have the wealth to back up our republican debt. Tea was way easier to throw in the harbor, those containers are too heavy today. I buy from pawn shops that way the money stays locally and a 15 year old product still last the same as new Chinese crap.
