if you care about them then you should give an explanation but if you just want a clean break just cut all forms of communication and leave them alone

i have cut a couple of people out of my life and i have explained to them why. It may hurt or may think your overreacting but they'll get over it! It's your reason for cutting them loose it doesn't have to make since

Yes. Not only are they a part of your life, but you are a part of theirs. If you are cutting them out, then you need to explain why. It gives them a little step to closure on their end.
