blue overkill? need advice!?
i am painting my kitchen a light ice blue.. kinda gray but more on the blue side.. all of my bakeware is a cobalt blue glass... i need to know what color would look good in a backsplash\?? i was looking at cobalt blue.. but then thought WOW that's a lot of blue.. so any ideas?? the cobalt blue bake-ware i already own.. i can go a different color on the walls and then use the blue back splashh but what color?
So the paint and the back splashh aren'tt set in stone.. but i want something that goes with the cobalt blue??
Thanks in advance!
thanks so far.. but the color i am using on the wall ( well the one i want to use) is a really pale blue.. so white might blend in .

mm... thats tough. You could do a complimentary color (yellow) which would create a really WILD kitchen. but if done right it could be very chic and unique. My suggestion to you would be to do a white backsplash: it will help to lighten up your kitchen, and really make all that cobalt "pop" (cobalt is really pretty isnt it?) I know that white isnt ideal- but if you get a glossy paint it will still be a breeze to clean. Some people tile in their back splash areas which is a nice look that you can even incorporate cobalt tile into to tie your colors together. check these out.

White with cobalt blue splattered?

you could go with the brown, like a chocolate brown, or maybe a green, it all depends on what kind of a look you're going for. a bright green will pop against the cobalt.

I think that an soft warm orange or fust color tile would look awesome. It would really make everything pop. Orange is blues complimetary color.

Some white accents sounds like they would go well.
Maybe you could try some different pastels, too?
