Christians: are we still boycotting mcdonalds or just pepsico?

i'm VERY confused.... in july everyone told me to stop eating at MCDONALDS because they're promoting the horrible homosexual agenda (though it seems like everyone but the AFA is nowadays... thank god for our family assoc.)

but now tonight i've read the report that we're boycotting pepsico! at first i thought i'd have to give up some sodas, but then i realized i will NEVER be able to EVER eat any frito-lay chips, doritos, quaker oats (i thought the quaker man supported good family values!), gatorade... i think the list just goes on and on.

are we only boycotting these companies till the homosexuals get prayed away, or do we have to boycott them forever to punish them for their pointless donations to so-called "anti-hate" groups like PFLAG?!

Update:
Update 2:

go Erica S ^_^

Update 3:

haha thank you ginsf... i'm comfortable, though, in the fact that i do like boys

There are some very good reasons to boycott McDonald's if you are a Christian. If you step back and look, you will see that it isn't a fast food chain, it's a church.

It has recognizable architecture, 'liturgical' colours, iconography, and communion. There are dietary "laws" which promote the consumption of some sort of meat at every meal. They take a collection, make a profit, and direct a lot of their message to children. Good [Ronald] and evil [Hamburgler] are arbitrary variations of entertainment.

Behind all the "wholesome" qualities of the Golden Arches is a trail of destruction. The beef industry is directly or indirectly among the worst polluters on the planet, using enormous amouts of land, water and energy resources to feed cattle when a fraction of the land used would feed the entire human population of world several times over.

If the environmental stewardship issue wasn't bad enough, how about the fact that the Big M helps to keep minimum wages below the level a person can realistically sustain themserlves on? What about the health implications of eating the diet from their menu? It is no exaggeration that McDonald's is largely responsible for the gross obesity of Americans, for the rapidly rising health costs associated with early puberty [from hormone-laced meat products], diabetes, heart disease, and deteriorating dental health.

Many of the people who boycott 'Mickey D's" are not Christian--but they can recognise EVIL when they see it. It begs the question--why aren't Christians being more vocal about the evil in their midst?

    I'm a Christian and I don't believe in boycotts.

They don't work and they are nothing but a waste of my time. All that a boycott does is give free advertising to the company that it is against.

To be honest, I don't care one way or another about homosexuals or what they want or don't want, where they work or don't work. I am not however going to boycott a place because others say to, and I am certainly not going to switch to Pepsi from Coke as a show of support for the homosexual community either.

Well, I've been boycotting McDonald's but not for religious reasons...they started charging me 10 cents to put mayonnaise on a chicken sandwich...highway robbery as far as I'm concerned *LOL*.

I can't stand Pepsi so I guess I'm boycotting them too...but I couldn't live without my Fritos (thanks for reminding me that I bought a new bag yesterday!).

Seriously though, I never heard anything about some "Christian boycott" of anything...and personally, I agree with the person that said boycotts are ineffective...they usually just provide publicity for the target and make the proponents look stupid.

I'm curious what boycotting and Christianity have in common?

First, you shouldn't boycott something just because someone doesn't have a relationship with God. I'm sure 99.9% of the food you eat wasn't made or packaged by someone who has a relationship with God.

Our body's are a holy temple for our sole, and we should be paying more attention to that than to who makes the food. Start paying attention to what we put into our body's.

Boycott fast food, fried food, and caffeinated drinks because they are harmful to our body's and not because of who makes them.

How are we suppose to say that we are God's children when we don't even take his holy temple (us) as sacred.

Reminds me, gotta go buy more Pepsi tomorrow, I'm almost out. I didn't know that about Pepsi. I love Pepsi, it's always been my favorite, that's awesome. Don't like that they changed their look though. Eh.

No! Without the support of McDonald's, how will I be able to keep up my deviant lifestyle?? I'll have to finally choose to be straight!

I think Bible Thumpers are one of the main reason people don't become Christians... and groups like this are the next reason.

sounds like your confused because you question your own sexuality and that is why you worry so much about homosexuality.

I haven't heard of this. We shouldn't hate gay people though, so I'm not gonna do this. We are going to just turn people away from Christ by being hateful.
