in the same position as you sweetie!
personally, some great songs for me at the moment aree:
1) lessons in leavin -jo dee messina [country] ("somebody's gonna give you a lesson in leaving somebody...and i hope that im around to watch em knock you down" ...kinda harsh, but the way she sings it is great).
2) bye bye -jo dee messina [country] (saying goodbye to an ex).
3) im alright -jo dee messina [country] (talking about how lifes just fine without her ex).
4) single ladies (put a ring on it) -beyonce [pop] (name speaks for itself. plus, you've probably heard it before :P if not, listen to it! so catchy).
5) dont worry bout a thing -SHeDAISY [country] (makes me feel SO much better. and its a kinda funny song too. love it.)
6) in terms of love -SHeDAISY [country] ("i dont think about me in terms of you, i dont think about you in terms of us, i dont think about us in terms of love..." la dee da, its a cute song).
7) bring on the rain -jo dee messina feat. tim mcgraw [country] ("i'm not gonna let it get me down, i'm not gonna cry..." strong song).
8) stronger woman -jewel [pop] (amaazing strengthening song that talks about independence -- "i'm gonna love myself, more than anyone else. gonna be my own best friend, stick it out with me til the end. believe in me, even if the someone can't see the stronger woman in me.").
9) freckles -natasha bedingfield [pop] (well idk if you have freckles, but i do, and this songs a confidence booster. i think anyone can relate to it, whether they have freckles or not, though. "freckles" is just symbolic for certain idiosyncrasies--flaws--that everyone has).
10) dont tell me -avril lavigne [pop] (one of her older songs; "This guilt trip that you put me on won't, mess me up I've done no wrong. Any thoughts of you and me have gone away").
11) eighty eights -farewell [pop] ("because we're giving it up, i will be just fine" ... very poppy, catchy, upbeat. good song, one of my all time favorites. loove farewell)
12) im letting go -Francesca Battistelli [pop] (title is basically self explanatory, very upbeat and happy; "i'm letting go of the life i've planned for me, and my dreams. im losing control of my destiny. it feels like im falling in thats what its like to believe, so im letting go")
13) be ok -ingrid michaelson [pop] (upbeat, folky, cute song; "Open me up and you will see I’m a gallery of broken hearts. I’m beyond repair, let me be, And give me back my broken parts...")
14) leavin -jag star [pop] (independent anthem for women everywhere, in my opinion. heard it on the hills actually hah; "somethings calling out for under cover and, im free now, im leaving. somethings calling, time for some discovering. im free now, im leaving.")
15) its only life -kate voegele [pop] (personally, makes me feel like everythings gonna be okay. "dont be so afraid of facing everyday, just take your time, its only life")
16) better in time -leona lewis [pop] (classic moving on song; "Thought I couldn't live without you, It's gonna hurt when it heals too. It'll all get better in time. Even though I really love you, I'm gonna smile cause I deserve to, It'll all get better in time." story of my life.)
17) everything is alright -motion city soundtrack [rock] (quirky rock song with odd metaphors and similes, used to be obsessed with it ha; "tell me that you're alright, yeah everything is alright...")
18) youre making it come alive -my favorite highway [rock] (my favorite song of all time; my life motto basically. every statement in this song is a lesson learned for me. it helps with everything, from heart break to new realizations, depression and anger, the whole bit)
19) stand -rascal flattss [country] (youve possibly heard this before...talks about staying strong when things get tough; "Every time you get up and get back in the race, one more small piece of you starts to fall into place")
20) love song -sara bareilles [pop] (its been popular for awhile. 100% sure youve heard it; "im not gonna write you a love song cause you ask for it, cause you need one...")
Hope that helped! Best of luck :D

Jo Dee Messina - Bye Bye, is fun and uplifting it's a song that makes you feel independent, without the spitefulness of other break up songs
Jo Dee Messina - Not going down is also a really good one, that's not really about relationships at all, more about getting on, over, and through with life obstacles it's a good one!
