The cylical nature of time?

Could the cyclical nature of time be related to our path around the galactic ring as well as the galaxy's path through the universe? Maybe time is warped in a circle dur to the gravitational effects of planets and suns and supermassive black holes just like light would be.

Update:

Well, from what I can figure, linear time is an illusion. When you are travelling in a tube with a blindfold on, you can't necessarily tell if you are going in circles (aside from motion sickness). So to the causal observer, it looks like a straight line.

Update 2:

In addition, after pondering this some more, I have to add that by using the word cyclical, I am not intending to mean "circular". We don't really seem to repeat events exactly... just themes of sorts. So maybe it's more of a spiral?

That is one thought, but then, what happens when you talk about lineal time and circular time?

This has been confusing to me also. I read that time is only a measure of consciousness. And yet another quote - by Hudson-

i believe, is that all events are simultaneous. That is hard to get

    a handle on.
