Should I chill a bottle of wine unopened or opened?

I have an automatic single bottle wine chiller that brings the wine to the correct temp for drinking. Should I open the bottle before or after I put it in there? Thanks.

Update:

I drink a lot of reds, which benefit from breathing anyway, so can I "kill two birds with one stone" by opening it to breathe while it is chilling.... (I know reds don't need to be chilled much, but they do need to come down from my typical home temp.)

You keep a crimson wine in the refrigerator for 4-6 weeks. White wine is the perfect to maintain in the refrigerator. whilst storing any wine verify to place the bottle at perspective with the cork pointing tio the floor. this would stop the cork from drying out and greater handy to open.

Alway chill before opening .........your bottle should then be in a wine caskwith ice...(it means you never finished it if it was in the fridge!!!!)

put it in there before you drink it. i also don't like any wine, white or red, unless its been chilled, also i am super picky, there is only a handful that i actually enjoy drinking.
