What is different about the Baptist's?

i am missionary baptist and we believe that in order to reach jehovah god you have to go through his son jesus christ. we study the king james bible. we believe in baptizing as a showing of putting off the old self and being renewed, but we know that the water is not what saves you it is your confession to christ, which you don't have to do inside the santuary only, you could have confessed it in the park and then you come before the church to tell others you have accepted jesus christ as your savior. when you get weak the word will help make you strong

Which Baptists? There are many denominations called some variety of Baptist and they have many differing theological views.

If you mean the Southern Baptists, which is the largest Baptist denomination, there really is no short answer. They are basically Arminian in doctrine (Google it) but with an exception for eternal security.

They also believe in Baptism by total immersion only.

I understand that they elect their pastors and vote on their doctrines.

I don't know what else is different, I yield the floor to any baptist who would like a shot at this.

Abou the usa, I don't know, but in Brazil baptist churches are just one more protestant denomination preaching the true gospel of Christ, helping us to fight sects like mormons, jehovah witnesses, adventists, and other "protestant" churches which are nothing but a sect pretending to be God's church. But it's okay; we know who they are and how to fight them and that's what we've done here in Brazil and I hope it's what the baptist churches in the usa are doing in there.
