Orson Scott Card has been writing some historical fiction that is really Good My wife and I Always buy the unabridged CDs the we can listen to them in the car as we travel about. She would never have time to read if we didn't do it this way. The books on tape or CD we have are Rachel & Leah, Rebekah, and Sarah they are very good and well done I am not sure of the order. Look on Deseret book or Seagull books web sites

Ender's Game is by far his best book, in my opinion. He wrote many sequels, which are still pretty good.

He's done more, too, but all of these stem from Ender's Game, which is itself one of the best books I have read.

Ender's Game is the first book in the Ender series, Ender's Shadow is the first in another series, based on Ender's universe.

There's also the Alvin Maker series- read it and find the parallel!
