I have my tongue pierced and I was just wondering if?
any one else had the issue of their tongue turning orange. and I don't mean it has an orange tint I mean it turns orange like AFL Crush orange. It's happened since I got it pierced years ago, it don't affect anything really except that I look like I have been sucking on orange candy all the time. I can also brush the orange off by this I mean when I brush my teeth I also brush my tongue and once I am done my tongue is the normal pinkish/reddish but within a few hours it back to orange. I am just wondering why? It's no big deal I am just curious. I will not be taking it out so don't even go there.
MORE DETAIL... It happens whether it's metal, plastic, surgical steel etc. It has happened since day 1 no matter what kind of jewelry. I also know that a doctor will only tell me to take it out which I won't do so might as well save my co-pay

I would think it's a reaction to the jewelry that you wear in the piercing. Try surgical steel, or whatever you are not using now

No, tongue piercings are probably between the least complicated piercings you may get accomplished. It does not harm in any respect, the clamp ( the factor that holds your tongue in place) probably hurts greater advantageous than the extremely piercing. in case you visit an experienced piercer then you definately could have not have been given any issues. good success.

This is probably due to your diet; anyone who eats badly gets a build up on their tongue which can vary from white to yellowish colour. If your tongue is pierced its easier for it to happen. There's nothing wrong with it, you just need to try fit in some extra fruit instead of bad foods.

It never happened to me but it may be a chemical reaction of your saliva and the metal. Look into getting a plastic one and it'll probably fix the issue.
