How would you feel about having false teeth when you were 25?

I don't just mean one or two, a whole set that you have to take out at night.

I'm torn between dental implants (long and complicated process that means putting my current, very happy life, of travelling and working around the world on hold) or dentures (cheaper, less complicated but...it means false teeth at 25!)

Update:

I'm not in this problem because I negleted my teeth (I've always taken good care of them). I have a genetic problem that means my teeth did not develop properly.

You can travel anytime at your young age. Go for the implants, I know they will be expensive but they will look so much nicer than dentures. Take the advice from an experienced one, I had 6 on a plate at the age of 23. After a while they don't fit properly, and you can't smile properly because of the fear of them dropping, which they did. And there is nothing so embarrassing than dentures.I am 52 now and I am due at the dentist tomorrow, and I am enquiring on implants.

Go for implants and do a few at a time. My mum couldn't eat after she had her teeth out. She only had them out because her own teeth weren't very nice. She had several pairs made by various specialist dentists and none of them fit and had to live on rice pudding and soup. Please don't have false teeth you may regret it. I know this won't be cheap either (but then neither is travelling the world) but have you asked about veneers? Best of luck!

Oh my! Implants! I couldn't BEAR to have dentures! They are awkward to eat with and I have never forgotten the sight of my elderly next door neighbour...he was shouting at us when we were kids and as he shouted his entire set of false teeth flew out of his mouth! It was the funniest and most awful thing I have ever seen!

Why are your teeth so bad at such a young age?

You must have really neglected them.

Have them crowned,it will cost you plenty but it is better than having a mouth full of false teeth.
